collaboration with the consultant and Client we created
a generic touch screen control for both systems.
The theatres were able to perform as standalone lecture
theatres and also as video conference theatres. The
School of Medicine were able to connect to any facility
with video conference, so that students could see
surgical procedures live. Students could also ask
questions using the Polycom ceiling Microphone array.
All audio, video and computer signal could be recorded
and be place on the UWS website for students to review
the lecture at a later stage.
This project was the first of its kind in Australia,
using the Polycom Sound Structure and Ceiling Microphone
arrays. Polycom Australia uses these theatres to
demonstrate to industry professionals the capabilities

-
3D Theatre used for educating students at the Discovery
Centre Canberra
-
AMX system with NXD-CV5 control touch screen

AMX communicates with PC that runs the 3D media.
-
AMX controls 2 Projectors & Lighting automatically
AV Control Group was asked to program the AMX system
that controls all of the CSIRO Discovery 3D Cinema
equipment and scheduling.
2 Panasonic Projectors are used to display the 3D image.
Lighting is a Dynalite system.
The control touch screen provides the ability for the

show is started the AMX tells the PC to play the 3D
media, turn down the lights. AMX knows how long the show
will run for, so when it has finished the AMX will turns
on the lights so the guest can find their way out of the
